5th Provo Marathon- September 12, 2009: 26.2/or 26.2 2-4 team relay
Marathon run From south Fork 26.2 Miles to Utah Lake state Park.

This run has a little bit of "fun everything", from runners who run last year,
and they are coming back in 2008.

Provo Marathon & Team Relay, A Beautiful run down Provo Canyon Fresh Mt. Air.
You get a taste of canyon, winding around a city trail in shade tree's, then run on paved trails through farms to at Utah Lake State, finish w/ Pancakes & Fruit. Runners love it.
Teams of 2-4 Teams Do not catch the bus, you will drive each other from start to next transistion.
Get you your bib #s at the start of team relay,
Drive to the top of south fork, you get a clip board and info.
see you at 6:15 top of south fork canyon,
7 miles from mouth off Provo canyon turn
into vivian park, you cross railroad tracks, go to the top, dirt parking lot.
That is the start. 6:30-7:am as soon as you have bibs and bus's from marathon runners are ready, we can start.
You will run and relay each other to Utah Lake State Park.


T1 6.5 miles. Team change, will be at bridal veil falls.
You will run up the frontage road turn at the top, then down to get on trail again.

t2 Team change will be at the shops at riverwoods, 14 miles

t3 will be at Plumbtree shops, 20 miles. 6.2 miles to go.

Meet at Utah Lake State park by 5:30am to pick up bib number and load onto the bus. You will be bussed to South Fork of Provo Canyon for the Marathon. Run will follow Provo River Trail to Utah Lake State Park.

16-20 mile will start at South fork Park mile 3. Catch the bus for 20 mile at Utah lake state park
you will be dropped off at south fork park mile 3, then dont run 1.5 miles in front of Bridal Veil Falls and back down 1.5 miles, that gives you -6, when you get to Utah lake state park gate you are finished.

 

DIRECTIONS
To reach Utah Lake State Park:
If you are traveling on the freeway to Provo, take the Provo Center Street exit and go west on Center as far as you can. Center Street ends at the state park. All races end here.

To Marathon & 20 mile , Catch Bus:
Relay teams. Drive to the start,

The Provo Marathon is a Beautiful fun courses running in the Mountains & next to the Provo River. Cool Morning Start.

Provo Marathon Team Relay, a 2-3-or 4 team relay with friends is really fun.
The Provo 26.2 Marathon is in its 4th year.
It has been a lot of hard work since 2004-2008.
Wow, to finally run this course!
Last year in 2007 was a Dream Come True, to run down the canyon all the way to Utah Lake, mostly on Paved trail.
Runners Loved it, so will you.

You wil run from South fork4 miles to Vivian Park, then run on the trail to the Shops@Riverwoods.
Run through a short part of Orem on the trail to connect back to the Provo River Trail along the river to Utah Lake State Park,


Last years runners Loved the relay course, they said for sure they are coming back.

Team Captains can register all four members of their team by credit card.
Marathon & 10-20 mile runners meet the bus at Utah Lake State Park, take you to bridal veil falls.
Relay runners Start at the Dam, you will relay your team down the canyon to finish at Utah Lake state park, Center street Provo.

Directions to (Ut. Lk. St. Park Center street provo as far as you can go west on center turn off I-15 Center Street provo exit I-15)
Relay Runners, Start at the South fork, Relay your team to Utah lake state Park.

The Provo 26.2 mile $35 also &
team Relay $30 ea.To Utah Lake St. Park 4x30=$120
w/16-20 mi.$20 training run

Marathon Time Limit, Team relay 1st run must be faster 1st runner, So we can get off the highway quickly.

This run an easy down hill. You start at South Fork Then Run on road for 4. miles then Provo River Trail then in front of Bridal veil falls



Run Down Provo Canyon To Utah Lake
Then the adventure starts,
Fun time at finish with drinks, pancakes, lay under the large trees on the grass.
